Anakpawis condemns lockdown-EJK of union leader in Laguna

Manila, Philippines – The Anakpawis Party-list condemned to the highest degree, the latest case of extra-judicial killing of Dandy Miguel, Union President of Lakas ng Nagkakaisang Manggagawa ng Fuji Electric and Vice-Chairperson of Pagkakaisa ng Manggagawa sa Timog Katagalugan (Pamantik) affiliated with the Kilusang Mayo Uno. Miguel was gunned riding his motorcycle in Brgy. Canlubang, Calamba City in Laguna at around 8:45 in the evening on the very birthday of President Rodrigo Duterte or hours before the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) takes effect in the “NCR+” areas, and weeks after the internationally denounced “Bloody Sunday” or mass killing of activists in the region.
