Thumbing down admin charges vs. “ninja” cop protector police chief cements falsity of government’s “war on drugs” – Anakpawis
Manila, Philippines – Former Anakpawis Party-list lawmaker Ariel “Ka Ayik” Casilao described the non-filing of administrative charges against former police chief Oscar Albayalde as “unsurprising and expected,” and consequently proves that the Duterte regime’s “war on drugs” is totally fake. The absolution of Albayalde by President Rodrigo Duterte via the investigative act of Interior Secretary and General Eduardo Año reeks of a badly written script of a political absurdism that totally insult the intelligence of the people.
“Albayalde is not accountable to Duterte, but to the Filipino people, thus, this regime has no right to acquit him of accountability, which is actually serious. Duterte is now acting as the ‘protector’ of the ‘protector’ of the corrupt ‘ninja’ cops, thus, by transitive property, he himself is corrupt,” Casilao slammed.
The former lawmaker also pointed out that the latest intensified attacks against activists such as the mass arrest in Negros and arrest of activists in Manila, is to undermine inevitable condemnation of the people to government’s anti-people measures.
“Duterte is attempting to shock and awe activists, in the illusion of totally repressing criticism and opposition. This is a grave mistake as his mere actions generates resistance from the people, and it would only be a matter of time for his total isolation,” he elaborated.
He urged the people to resist the Duterte regime’s cover up of the “ninja” cops scandal and demand accountability.
“The government has exposed itself as with no moral ascendancy to govern, and an epic failure on preserving the rule of law. Lawlessness is not carried out by activists and critics, but committed by the government itself. The people should rise up and hold Duterte, personally accountable for the chaos and anarchy in the country,” he ended. ###
